At its heart, Mobile Planet is a 90-minute documentary film. But the film is not the end of the project; over the course of 2008, extended features will be released each month for viewing via the Internet. Plus, many of the interviews will be available to watch in their full, uncut versions. Material will also be re-edited for free use by education establishments. And if all goes according to plan, the documentary will be showing up on a TV near you in the months ahead.
Then there is the accompanying 240-page hardcover book. The Mobile Planet book will tell the story behind the documentary with exclusive photography from over 20 countries and include guest editorials from industry leaders, 20 country profiles, numerous case studies and CEO interviews.
A special DVD will be released alongside the book, and will include the documentary itself (updated to include footage from this year's Mobile World Congress), supporting case studies and project features, and 12 CEO and Minister-level interviews.
